Butter Production in Russia Increases by 3.4%, but Consumption Drops by Almost 9%

Butter production in Russia from January to July 2025 increased by 3.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 201.9 thousand tons.

At the same time, butter consumption from January to June decreased by 8.8%, to 203.7 thousand tons. As of early August, stocks at processing enterprises more than doubled — increasing by 105%, to 27.9 thousand tons.
The production of margarines and spreads also showed growth: over the first seven months of 2025, output increased by 1%, reaching 338 thousand tons. Their consumption from January to June rose by 1.4%, to 211 thousand tons, while stocks as of early August increased by 5%, reaching 15.6 thousand tons.
