Production of dry milk and whey in Russia reached 244.5 thousand tons in two months of 2025

According to the Milknews Analytical Center, in January–February 2025, the production of whey and dry milk in Russia demonstrated steady growth. The total output in these areas reached 244.5 thousand tons.
Key indicators:

Whey (including dry): 178.4 thousand tons (+9.1%), of which dry whey - 36.9 thousand tons (+3.2%);

Whole milk powder: 13.4 thousand tons (+31.1%);

Skim milk powder: 15.8 thousand tons (+8.6%).
Consumption of whole milk powder in January increased by 52.2%, to 11 thousand tons, while demand for dry whey decreased by 6.8%, amounting to 17.4 thousand tons. At the same time, consumption of liquid whey increased to 91.6 thousand tons (+16.7%).
