Olympus Foods Invests €7.5 Million in Brașov Dairy Plant Expansion
Olympus Foods Romania announced the construction of a new 7,100-square-meter production hall at its Brașov Dairy Plant, investing €7.5 million to expand its production and storage capacities. This development comes after the inauguration of a €40 million logistics center last year, which included a high-bay refrigerated warehouse with the capacity for over 32,000 pallets.
The expansion is part of a broader investment strategy by Olympus Foods, under the Hellenic Dairies Group, which has operated in Romania for more than 25 years. The Brașov Dairy Plant, located in Hălchiu, was originally opened in 2011 and serves both local and international markets.
Dimitrios Kelas, General Manager of Olympus Foods Romania, highlighted that this investment supports the plant’s sustainable development and addresses increasing demand for their dairy products across Europe. Adrian Cornea, Plant Manager, emphasized that the €70.7 million invested over five years reflects organic growth driven by milk supply from over 1,200 Romanian farmers.
Olympus Foods aims to further enhance its operational capabilities to meet consumer demands while maintaining strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
