Special attention is paid to regional results. The most significant growth in milk production at agricultural enterprises was recorded in:

  • Ternopil region (+17%);
  • Khmelnytskyi region (+16%);

  • Zhytomyr region (+7%);
  • Poltava region (+7%).

In January 2025, agricultural enterprises demonstrated the highest raw milk production volumes in the following regions:

  • Poltava region — 39.6 thousand tons;

In January 2025, according to the Ukrainian Milk Producers Union, the price of extra-grade milk decreased by 1.5 UAH, or 8%, compared to December 2024. At the end of the month, the average price did not exceed 18.5 UAH per kilogram. However, the January price was 23% higher than in the same period last year and one-third higher than the level recorded in June 2024. It is also noted that the rate of increase in raw milk prices in Ukraine in the second half of 2024 (expressed in hryvnias) was 2.3 times higher than the corresponding indicator in the EU (expressed in euros – 1.8 times).

It is pointed out that at the beginning of 2025, the purchase prices for raw milk decreased due to falling butter prices and the traditional seasonal decline in demand during the New Year holidays.
