Ninth Avenue Foods to Build Dairy Facility in Longview, Texas
Ninth Avenue Foods, a company originally from California, has announced its intention to build a new dairy facility in the North Longview Business Park, Texas. The plant will cover 44 acres at the intersection of Bill Stoudt Parkway and Lou Galosy Way.
The decision to select Longview was influenced by several factors, according to Wayne Mansfield, CEO of the Longview Economic Development Corporation. Mansfield highlighted Longview's capacity to supply up to 52 million gallons of water per day and its wastewater treatment capabilities as significant considerations in the decision-making process. Additionally, the local labor force contributed to the final choice of location over other Texas cities.
Construction on the site has not yet commenced, and job applications are not being accepted at this time. However, the facility is projected to bring approximately 150 jobs to the area once operational.
The facility is expected to be completed by 2027, marking it as Ninth Avenue Foods' third manufacturing site.
