New Barn Organics and BAM Launch Buckwheat Milk in Partnership
US-based companies New Barn Organics and BAM The Brand have entered into a partnership to launch a buckwheat-based milk alternative. The product is now available at Whole Foods Markets, having been developed through Whole Foods Market’s Local and Emerging Accelerator Program. BAM, known for its functional and regeneratively farmed buckwheat ingredients, participated in this program and collaborated with New Barn, a plant-based beverage producer, to bring the product to market. This partnership combines BAM’s buckwheat expertise with New Barn’s proficiency in organic food production and distribution.
As part of the collaboration, New Barn acquired BAM’s buckwheat milk recipes, resulting in the creation and marketing of the New Barn Organics Buckwheat Milk. The product features BAM’s innovative shelf-stable Buckwheat Milk Powder and satisfies consumer demands for regenerative and diverse dietary options. Paige Hansen, CEO of BAM, emphasized the importance of this partnership in accelerating category growth and delivering new formats for buckwheat ingredients.
The new Buckwheat Milk is crafted free from gluten, dairy, nuts, seed oils, and GMO ingredients, holding a Regenerative Organic Certification. It is already accessible in Whole Foods Market stores across regions such as Southern Pacific, Northern California, Southwest, Rocky Mountain, and Florida, representing a significant step for both New Barn and BAM in the plant-based milk sector.
