Polish dairy cooperative Mlekpol announces a 400 million zlotys investment in expanding and modernizing its Grajewo facility, boosting production capacity and job creation.

Polish dairy cooperative Mlekpol is set to invest 400 million zlotys ($110 million) into its plant in Grajewo, aiming to scale up cheese production. This investment, planned from the current year to 2029, will expand storage infrastructure, introduce new cheese packaging lines, update equipment, and automate technological processes. This significant upgrade is expected to generate new jobs, supported by tax breaks from the Suwałki Special Economic Zone, one of 14 such zones established by the Polish government to foster economic growth.
Tadeusz Mroczkowski, the president of Mlekpol, described the initiative as a "historic milestone" for the company. "As one of the largest investments in Mlekpol’s history, it will boost our processing capacity, streamline operations, and strengthen our position both in Poland and internationally," he stated.
However, Mlekpol has not disclosed detailed information on the number of additional cheese production lines, new jobs, or whether AI or robotics will be involved. Mlekpol is one of Poland and Europe’s largest dairy co-ops, processing six million litres of milk daily from over 7,500 producers. The cooperative operates 13 production facilities across Poland and exports to over 100 countries globally.
