Meoqui Distributes 74 Tons of Agricultural Supplies to Farmers

The Secretariat of Rural Development, in collaboration with the municipal government, has distributed a total of 74.5 tons of agricultural and livestock supplies in Meoqui. This initiative aims to mitigate the operational costs for local producers. The delivery included 34 tons of fertilizer, 38 tons of corn, one ton of soybean meal, and one and a half tons of pasture concentrate.

The communities of Guadalupe Victoria, Lázaro Cárdenas, and the municipal center were the primary recipients of this sectoral distribution. According to the Citizens' Solutions Directorate of Meoqui, these weekly allocations are intended to stabilize the profitability margins of dairy and agricultural producers in response to the volatility of nutritional input prices.

Local operational coordination emphasized the continuity of these strategies as part of Mayor Miriam Soto's agenda to cushion ongoing agricultural expenses in the region. The steady flow of direct subsidies at the farm level enables small production units to maintain competitiveness in a high-demand regional market for forage grains.

The state contingency plan includes expanding deliveries in the short term through specific subsidies targeted at dairy production. Pedro Santiago Chávez Torres, the coordinator of Rural Development in Chihuahua, confirmed that upcoming calls will prioritize dairy concentrate and alfalfa seed to ensure the supply of high-energy forage.

The agricultural promotion program will also integrate technological components such as solar panels, hydraulic pumps, bee nuclei, and value-added projects for the regional industry. This diversification of institutional support directly responds to Meoqui's strong livestock focus, where optimizing energy resources is crucial for the daily performance of farms.
