The NDDB has signed an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh State Co-operative Dairy Federation to enhance milk output. The state aims to increase its milk co-operative societies and become India's leading milk producer.

The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) recently inked an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh State Co-operative Dairy Federation to bolster milk production within the state. The signing occurred during a state-level cooperative conference in Bhopal, attended by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
Despite NDDB's new role in managing the federation's operations, the brand name Sanchi will remain unchanged. The agreement seeks to expand the number of milk co-operative societies from 6,000 to 9,000. According to MP Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Patel, Madhya Pradesh contributes around 9% to the nation's milk production. However, MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav aims to increase this figure to over 20%, aspiring for the state to become the country's milk capital. Ranked third in India's milk production after Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, MP aims to claim the top position.
In addition, the state government plans to launch a new scheme on April 14, commemorating Dr B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary, to further support this goal.
