Liconsa Set to Establish Two Milk Collection Centers in Sinaloa
In Sinaloa, Liconsa's program is poised to inaugurate two milk collection centers. These centers, located in Ahome and Mazatlán, are expected to start operations within the next few months, contingent upon full cooperation fr om dairy producers, declared Jesús Vega Acuña.

The Representative of SADER (Secretaría de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural) in Sinaloa emphasized Liconsa's willingness to collaborate with local farmers to realize this initiative. Despite the challenges, including a notable 60% decrease in milk production in Ahome due to drought, the establishment of these centers aims to revitalize the local dairy industry.

Jesús Vega Acuña stated: "One in Ahome and another in Mazatlán, because these are the dairy-producing regions of the State, and these are the areas wh ere conditions are favorable for dairy cattle. Preliminary authorization has already been received for Liconsa to purchase milk at a price that would be 11 pesos and 50 centavos compared to the current range of eight to ten pesos." With the endorsement of the Secretary, Sinaloa, previously unqualified, will now be part of the Liconsa program.

This development is expected to stabilize milk prices in the northern and southern dairy centers of the state, thereby benefiting local milk producers.
