Lely Achieves €1 Billion Revenue as Demand for Dairy Robotics Rises

Lely, a company specializing in dairy robotics and animal husbandry, reported a significant milestone in 2025 by achieving over €1 billion in revenue, an 18% increase from the previous year's €857 million. This growth is attributed to the rise in global milk prices, which has provided dairy farmers with the financial health necessary to invest in advanced technologies like robotics.

During the year, Lely dedicated 8% of its turnover to research and development, leading to the launch of four innovative products: Vector Next, Astronaut A5 Next, Astronaut Max, and Hub. These advancements reflect the company's commitment to enhancing dairy farming efficiency and sustainability.

CEO Andre van Troost expressed pride in the company's financial success, stating, "The 2025 result is better than expected and we are proud of hitting one billion sales." However, he also indicated potential challenges in 2026 due to factors such as oversupply leading to lower milk prices, geopolitical tensions, and uncertainties surrounding silicon chip deliveries, which may impact operations in the latter half of the year.

Looking forward, Lely anticipates stricter regulations and a growing demand for transparency and sustainability in the dairy industry. The company suggests that continued innovation, robotisation, and digitalisation will be vital for farmers to produce sustainable and nutritious dairy products.
