Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods has announced an initiative to donate one ton of food for each point scored by the Minnesota Vikings during their game against the Green Bay Packers on January 4. The donation will be made to Second Harvest Heartland and is capped at 20 tons.

This game-day effort is a part of Land O'Lakes' broader commitment to fighting hunger, which includes a recent $1 million investment in food banks and hunger-relief organizations. This initiative aims to provide much-needed support to families, especially during the winter months when food demand increases.

Heather Anfang, president of Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods, emphasized the cooperative's mission to support families and fight hunger, highlighting the dual purpose of the game day: enjoying the sport and aiding local communities. Sarah Moberg, CEO of Second Harvest Heartland, praised the partnership as a meaningful way to bring attention to hunger issues and deliver essential resources to those in need.

Land O'Lakes, founded in 1921 by 320 Minnesota dairy farmers, continues to operate as a member-owned cooperative. Today, it boasts over 1,200 dairy producers and 500+ agricultural producers, with a presence in all 50 U.S. states and more than 60 countries.
