Over the first 11 months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan's butter exports to Kazakhstan tripled, reaching 675 tons valued at $3.4 million. For comparison, during the same period in 2023, 252 tons were exported, amounting to $1.1 million.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the total volume of butter exports from Kyrgyzstan between January and November 2024 reached 1,957 tons, generating $10.3 million in revenue. This represents a significant increase compared to 2023, when exports amounted to 1,284.9 tons worth $5.99 million.
The primary growth drivers for exports were shipments to Russia and Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's threefold increase in imports highlights the strong demand for Kyrgyz butter.
Exports to Russia have also shown positive dynamics, rising by 30% in volume terms and generating over $2.1 million in additional revenue.
