KMF gears up to penetrate the northern dairy markets by entering Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, with plans to introduce high-protein products.

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), known for its Nandini brand, is embarking on a significant expansion program aimed at establishing a presence in the northern Indian states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. As part of this ambitious strategy, KMF plans to launch a new range of high-protein dairy products this coming May, capitalizing on the growing consumer demand for protein-rich foods. Furthermore, by setting up milk procurement and co-packaging centers in these states, KMF seeks to optimize its supply chain and enhance the freshness and availability of its products in the northern markets.
By shifting packaging operations closer to its target markets, KMF intends to reduce the transportation distance of its dairy products, thereby alleviating the stress on the cold chain logistics and preserving product quality. This logistical strategy is expected to enable faster market response times and maintain product freshness, ultimately benefiting consumers with improved access to dairy products. Additionally, KMF is also expanding its bakery product line to include longer shelf life items, suitable for quick delivery and e-commerce, such as muffins and fruit cakes, available in numerous variants.
