China tripled Russian ice cream imports in February compared to January

In total, ice cream imports from Russia to China fell to $344.9 thousand in the first two months of 2025, compared to $529 thousand in the same period last year.
France remains the leader among ice cream suppliers to China — exports of this category amounted to $6.1 million in January-February 2025. They are followed by Spain ($2.2 million), New Zealand ($1.5 million) and the Republic of Korea ($1.4 million). In total, China imported ice cream from 19 countries.
Recall that in 2024, the volume of Russian ice cream exports to China reached $2.7 million, which is 42% higher than the 2023 figure ($1.9 million).
According to the federal center "Agroexport", in 2024, Russia exported a total of 15 thousand tons of ice cream — 10% more than a year earlier.
Against the backdrop of a revival in global trade, global ice cream sales in 2024 approached $90 billion. By 2029, the market is expected to grow to $120 billion, which confirms the high export potential of the industry.
