Import of Cheese, Butter, and Other Dairy Products from Iran to Kazakhstan in 2025 Significantly Increased
Kazakhstan's largest exports to Iran:

barley — 940 thousand tons (+3.1 times),
-
wheat — 41.1 thousand tons (not exported the previous year),
-
lentils — 2.3 thousand tons (+47%),
-
cotton fiber — 4.4 thousand tons (+67.6 times).
Meanwhile, the export of lamb significantly decreased — to 128 tons (–6.8 times). Supplies of feed (–2.2 times) and textile products (–1.5 times) also fell.
Conversely, imports from Iran decreased by 20.7% in physical terms and by 14% in monetary terms. Kazakhstan reduced its purchases of ethylene polymers, building materials, detergents, beverages, and some vegetables and fruits.
At the same time, imports of dairy products increased:

cheese — 3.1 thousand tons (+30.3%),

butter — 2.9 thousand tons (×2),

fresh, condensed, and powdered milk — 5 thousand tons (+3.6 times).
In addition, Kazakhstan increased its import of nuts — almonds and pistachios — to 9.8 thousand tons (+44%).
