H-E-B Recalls Dairy-Free Yogurt Due to Undeclared Almond Allergen
H-E-B has initiated a recall of its Higher Harvest Dairy-Free Coconut Yogurt, Strawberry flavor, following the discovery of an undeclared almond allergen. This recall, announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 19, was prompted by a customer complaint that revealed the presence of almonds in the product without proper labeling.
The affected yogurt, produced by PlantBased Innovations based in Leominster, Massachusetts, was shipped on November 24, 2025, to H-E-B distribution centers and retail stores across Texas. It is packaged in 5.3-ounce plastic cups with foil lids and marked with a Best By date of January 2, 2026.
Consumers with almond allergies are advised to avoid consuming this yogurt due to the risk of severe allergic reactions. No health issues have been reported as of the recall date.
Customers can return the product to the store for a full refund or dispose of it safely. For further inquiries, PlantBased Innovations can be contacted at 978-600-0904 or via email.
The FDA emphasizes that it publishes recall notices as a service to the public.
