Gulfood 2025 Launches with Vision for the Future

Gulfood’s 30th edition has started today at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), drawing tens of thousands of attendees and more than 5500 exhibitors from 129 countries. Under the theme ‘The Next Frontier in Food,’ the event anticipates $US20 billion in trade deals and industry collaborations.

H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE minister of economy, will deliver the opening keynote on the second day at the inaugural Food500 Summit. This summit aims to address Gulfood’s economic impact and the UAE’s role as a global trade hub.

The Food500 Summit gathers industry leaders to tackle challenges and opportunities in the food value chain, with speakers like Ananya Narayan, CEO of Hunter Foods, and Dr. Edwini Kessie from the World Trade Organization.

Key Initiatives and Innovations

The UAE’s food cluster strategy, highlighted by H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, aims for food self-sufficiency and enhanced ecosystem management, supporting agricultural enterprises and local production. This strategy aligns with the 'We the UAE 2031’ vision of increasing national GDP.

Marcos Delorenzo, CEO of ADC, applauded Gulfood’s 30-year success, showcasing their latest innovations at the event and highlighting their nomination for the Gulfood Innovation Awards.

Star-Studded Culinary Line-up

Celebrity chef Alain Ducasse will lead the Top Table and Dubai World Cuisine activations, showcasing live masterclasses and dishes from over 120 chefs with 50 Michelin stars. His involvement underscores Dubai's rising status as a global food hub.
