FAS Initiates Case Against 'Pyaterochka' for Purchases from Rossoshansk Milk Plant
The Antimonopoly Service reported that 'Pyaterochka' reduced its purchases from the Rossoshansk Milk Plant by 96.5%, while continuing to sell dairy products from other suppliers in its stores.
Previously, the Voronezh department of FAS received complaints from citizens about the absence of milk from local producers in 'Pyaterochka' stores.
The Rossoshansk Milk Plant stated that since August 2026, LLC 'Agrotorg' stopped ordering certain products. According to the producer, the retail chain cited low sales volumes as the reason.
However, the plant reported that from January to July 2026, milk sales to the chain tripled. The plant did not specify which products were no longer being purchased and in what volumes.
The FAS believes that the simultaneous reduction in purchases and retail sales of products from the local enterprise, while maintaining sales of competing suppliers' goods, might indicate the creation of discriminatory conditions. The office also linked this situation to a potential restriction on consumers' rights to buy products at an affordable price.
The Voronezh FAS department detected potential signs of trade law violations by LLC 'Agrotorg' and initiated proceedings. If the company is found guilty, it may face a fine according to the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses.
