Farrah Newberry Named CEO of The Dairy Alliance, Leading Southeast US Efforts
Farrah Newberry has been officially named Chief Executive Officer of The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit organization funded by dairy farm families across the Southeast United States. Her appointment, announced on November 14, 2025, follows her tenure as Interim CEO and Vice President of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs within the organization. Newberry brings over two decades of experience in dairy advocacy and agricultural economics, having previously served as the Executive Director of Georgia Milk Producers, Inc. for 22 years.
Newberry's background includes educating farmers and officials on industry issues such as legislation, environmental regulations, animal health, and milk pricing. Her leadership is expected to advance The Dairy Alliance's mission of promoting the nutritional and economic value of dairy. She plans to expand partnerships and elevate programs across the organization's eight focal states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
With a degree in agricultural communications from the University of Georgia, Newberry has also served as president of the board of directors for the Agricultural Economics Association of Georgia. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the 2022 Distinguished Agriculture Steward Award from the Georgia Agriculture Commissioner.
