Desi Farms exceeds ₹300 crore after dairy acquisitions
Desi Farms reported revenue above ₹300 crore for FY2026, an eightfold increase from ₹38 crore in FY2025. The Indian dairy and farm-to-table consumer brand raised ₹155 crore during FY2026 to fund acquisitions and expansion. Founded in 2022, it began as a business-to-business dairy supplier before moving towards a direct-to-consumer model.
The company started acquiring a 51% holding in Suruchi Dairy Industries Pvt. Ltd. in June 2025 in a transaction valued at about ₹130 crore. Suruchi has operated for 28 years and can process as much as 3.5 lakh litres of dairy products a day. The acquisition provided Desi Farms with established processing capacity and a base for extending its product range and distribution.
After the transaction, Desi Farms launched 62 ice-cream stock-keeping units under the Suruchi name. Prices range from ₹10 to ₹50. The company also bought Healthy Mithai Co. in an all-equity transaction whose value was not disclosed. The Mumbai-based direct-to-consumer brand sells sugar-free and diabetic-friendly Indian sweets.
Desi Farms says its proposition is built around delivering dairy products within 12–24 hours of milking. Its products are sold through more than 10,000 outlets, its own application, e-commerce platforms and quick-commerce services including Zepto, Blinkit and Swiggy. In FY2026, direct-to-consumer operations represented 38% of sales, business-to-consumer channels 34% and business-to-business activity 28%.
Value-added milk products generated most of the company’s FY2026 revenue, while liquid milk contributed about 5%. Founder and chief executive Sunil Shahi said the company had been profitable for three consecutive years. Net profit was ₹2 crore in FY2025, up from ₹1.4 crore in the preceding financial year.
Quick commerce was an expanding sales channel for the company. In April 2026, Desi Farms expected monthly sales through that route to exceed ₹9 crore. The company is targeting revenue of ₹800 crore in FY2027. Its stated expansion plans include wider distribution, further product development and the integration of the businesses it has acquired.
