Wisconsin honors National Dairy Month with family-owned dairy farms and delicious recipes.

June is National Dairy Month, and Wisconsin is at the heart of this celebration. The state boasts 5,600 dairy farms, 99% of which are family-owned, more than any other state, according to Halei Heinzel, the 77th Alice in Dairyland. She highlighted some delightful recipes that reflect Wisconsin's dairy heritage.
Some recipes include the Mexican-Style Watermelon Salad, featuring sweet watermelon and lime topped with crumbly Cotija and Queso Fresca cheese, and Sweet and Savory Caprese Stacks, a twist on the classic caprese, with fresh mozzarella, peach, and basil.
