Castro Launches New Edition of Rota do Leite for 2026

The Rota do Leite project in Castro, Brazil, has announced the launch of its 2026 edition, inviting creators from various fields to participate. This initiative encourages the development of products that resonate with the identity of Castro and the surrounding regions.

Participants, ranging from artisans to entrepreneurs, can submit their products for evaluation in one of four categories: souvenirs and crafts, artistic expressions, gastronomic souvenirs, and gastronomy. The products do not necessarily need to contain milk as an ingredient but must connect with the region's dairy theme through design or cultural aspects.

Before the final evaluation, participants will undergo a qualification journey that includes workshops, design sessions, specialized consultations, and pricing strategy guidance. These events are scheduled to coincide with Agroleite, with the technical visit set for August 4th and seminars on local production opportunities on August 18th.

Consultations will be scheduled individually, with the pricing workshop date yet to be confirmed. Final product submissions for evaluation are due by September 21st, with certification events following at a later date.

A technical team from the Managing Group, alongside invited experts, will handle the evaluation based on criteria such as thematic relevance, quality, creativity, originality, presentation, and commercial potential. Successful products may earn seals of identity for Castro or the Rota do Leite, usable in promotional materials.

Registration is open on the Castro Municipality website, with full regulations available for review. Queries can be directed to the provided official email.
