Belarus Exports of Dairy Products to Pakistan Triple in 2024

MINSK, 12 February - Belarusian companies achieved a remarkable threefold increase in the export of dairy products including skimmed milk powder and whey to Pakistan in 2024, according to the latest discussions between Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Vadim Shagoyko and Pakistan's Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
The discussions underscored Pakistan's interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation in agriculture and the agro-industrial complex. It was reported that the trade of food and agricultural raw materials between Belarus and Pakistan saw a significant boost of 36.5% compared to 2023 levels.
The ministry highlighted that Belarus's primary exports to Pakistan included baby food products like cereal porridge, with a notable surge in the export of milk and dairy products.
Looking ahead, Belarusian producers are set to further increase their export supplies to Pakistan, expanding the range of tradable goods. The two nations are actively working on areas such as certification, production, and the supply of veterinary vaccines.
Further cooperation in livestock breeding and fishery is also on the agenda, with both countries making several strategic decisions in this regard.
Previously reported figures indicated a steady growth in trade between the two countries, which rose by 4.6% in 2024, reaching a total of $50.3 million. Notably, over 70% of this trade involved industrial enterprise products.
