Bayda Governorate Destroys Expired Dairy and Food Products
The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Bayda governorate announced the destruction of 10 tons of expired dairy and food products. This action took place on Saturday and was part of a series of inspection and monitoring campaigns conducted by the office and its branches across various districts.
Ahmed al-Tahiri, the Director of the Office of Economy and Industry in the governorate, explained that the expired products included dairy items, soft drinks, and other food products. These items were confiscated during routine inspections by the office's teams.
Al-Tahiri confirmed that the destruction of these expired products was carried out following the completion of all necessary procedures. The process was overseen by representatives from relevant authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
The office has reiterated its commitment to continuing market monitoring campaigns, focusing on maintaining food safety standards in the governorate's center and its districts.
