Azerbaijan Increases Milk and Cream Imports by 65% in the First Two Months of 2025

According to data from the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan imported 3,289 tons of milk and cream in January–February 2025, with a total value of USD 4.7 million.

This represents a 65% increase in volume (+1,296 tons) and a 49.1% increase in value (+USD 1.55 million) compared to the same period in 2024.
Imports of this category accounted for 0.1% of Azerbaijan’s total external trade expenditures during the reporting period. The rise in milk and cream imports reflects shifts in domestic market demand, potentially indicating expansion in the processing segment or increased consumption of finished dairy products.
Market observers note that with Azerbaijan’s processing sector continuing to develop and retail and HoReCa dairy consumption on the rise, the country may further expand foreign procurement, especially amid limited domestic production capacity.
