From April 27, 2025, Armenia will enforce stricter labeling regulations for dairy and meat products to ensure clarity and consumer safety.
Armenia is set to introduce more stringent labeling rules on April 27, 2025, as mandated by the Food Safety Inspection Authority.
These changes are part of amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses which require businesses to identify products containing milk fat substitutes conspicuously. Such products must be separately shelved and marked as "contains milk fat substitute."
Furthermore, documentation proving the licensed slaughter of livestock must be available for meat products, promoting transparency for consumers.
