Amul is set to gradually expand its market presence in Tamil Nadu, focusing on organic products and dairy.

Amul (Anand Milk Union Limited) will slowly and steadily expand its presence in the dairy market in Tamil Nadu, its managing director Amit Vyas said in Trichy on Saturday.
Participating in an agriculture exhibition, Vyas mentioned that Amul is venturing into organic fertilizer production by sourcing cow dung from local farmers. The products will be offered in powder, granule, and liquid forms.
Already established in Tamil Nadu’s dairy market with products like butter, cheese, and ice cream, Amul aims to expand its milk supply capabilities from its facility in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The company has started selling curd in Chennai and plans to gradually enter the milk market.
Amul’s strategy includes supporting and enhancing farmers’ incomes through cooperative societies, with an emphasis on returning significant earnings back to the producers.
Amit Vyas highlighted Amul's non-competitive stance towards other milk procurement societies and expressed satisfaction with the reception of its organic products at the exhibition.
