Wisconsin Farm Technology Days Highlights Historic and Modern Dairy Innovations
The 72nd Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is scheduled to take place from July 14–16, 2026, at Redetzkes' No Joke Dairy near Stratford, Central Wisconsin. This event will be hosted by a fifth-generation family farm owned by Matt, Brittany, and Sam Redetzke. The farm is noted for its unique combination of historical legacy and modern advancements in dairy farming.
No Joke Dairy, with its origins dating back to 1911, was founded by Otto and Ottelia Redetzke. The family, having briefly exited milk production in 2011, returned to dairy farming in 2015, currently managing a herd of 400 cows, including 200 milking cows.
The farm operates within its original 1911 tie-stall barn, a rare feature for a host of Wisconsin's premier agricultural event. The Redetzkes have maintained this historical structure while planning significant modern upgrades. These include a new facility equipped with six robotic milkers, a 5-million-gallon manure lagoon, and a new structural addition for specialized cow needs.
Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, a major outdoor farm exposition, celebrates the state's leadership in dairy excellence. This year marks Marathon County's fourth time hosting the event, highlighting its significant agricultural contributions, including 339 active dairy herds recorded in 2025. The county is also known for its diverse farms producing commodities like ginseng and cranberries.
Previous hosts in Marathon County include the Leick farm in 1974 and the Ross-Hart Dairy Farm in 1996. In 2011, Seehafer Acres overcame severe weather challenges to successfully host the event, showcasing the resilience of the farming community.
