Sodiaal Completes Canadian Yogurt Integration on Standardized Platforms
Sodiaal has moved key processes in its Canadian yogurt business from legacy corporate technology to standardized software frameworks used across its European operations. The work covers production scheduling, wholesale inventory management and the tracking of raw-milk procurement.
The Canadian unit operates in conventional and Greek-style yogurt through established regional brands. Its manufacturing activities require coordinated production planning and refrigerated distribution, making operational continuity a stated requirement during the transition.
Operational systems
The integration places manufacturing-related information, inventory data and procurement records within a common digital environment. Sodiaal said the arrangement is intended to reduce dependence on older systems and create more consistent processes for handling commercial and operational data.
Sodiaal is a dairy cooperative whose members supply raw milk across Europe. Applying a shared platform to international businesses can give corporate teams access to more consistent operational information and support common procurement procedures, working-capital management and financial reporting across markets.
Supply-chain visibility
Yogurt and other fresh dairy products have limited shelf lives. Their supply chains extend from milk collection through manufacturing and storage to distribution, with refrigerated warehouses involved in the movement of finished goods. The standardized platform is intended to give Sodiaal greater visibility over these stages in Canada.
The system also connects production planning with wholesale inventory levels and procurement requirements. This allows manufacturing and commercial information to be handled in the same framework, while supporting the coordination of plant schedules with demand and the movement of products through refrigerated facilities.
Wider digital standardization
Sodiaal's Canadian project forms part of its broader effort to harmonize technology across its international business. The company said common enterprise platforms can reduce the number of separate technology environments, improve access to performance information and simplify the management of operations across countries.
