European agricultural associations are calling on Brussels to restrict the import of Ukrainian products into the EU. They have issued a joint declaration, as reported by Le Figaro.

Organizations representing European farmers are concerned about the European Union's decision to continue duty-free imports of goods fr om Ukraine.
"We fear that if this mechanism is preserved in its current form without adaptation, the survival of EU producers as a whole will be threatened," says the declaration of the six European organizations.
These organizations propose using not only maritime but also overland and river corridors for the import of Ukrainian products.
In the associations' view, mechanisms should be introduced to determine exactly wh ere Ukrainian products should go and to ensure that they end up in the right place.
As reported by Le Figaro, the import of Ukrainian agri-food products into the EU increased by 11% from January to September 2023 compared to 2022.
Earlier, the European Commission did not see significant negative consequences from Ukrainian agricultural exports for the EU agricultural market.
