Sinton Dairy Foods Company in Colorado Springs will close its doors on December 30, affecting approximately 60 to 70 employees, according to a confirmation by Promised Land Dairy. The company, which has been operating in the area for decades, will shift production to a new facility in West Virginia, as part of its broader strategy to meet growing consumer demands.

Promised Land Dairy expressed its commitment to supporting affected employees, offering severance benefits, retention bonuses, and resources from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. The closure marks the end of an era for the Sinton name, which dates back to 1880, and has been a local fixture in Colorado Springs since then.

The decision to consolidate operations comes as Promised Land aims to expand its ultra-pasteurized milk products to new markets while continuing to produce its signature Jersey Cow milk.
