Over 3 years, the gross inflow of foreign direct investment into Kazakhstan has increased by more than 50%, reaching $6.2 billion in the third quarter of 2023.
The Netherlands became the main foreign investor, investing $1.5 billion into the country's economy, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period in 2020.
The United States follows in second place with investments of $1.2 billion, an increase of 2.6 times in three years. Russia ranks third with investments of $625.8 million, an increase of 60.5%.
Investments from China increased by 2.9 times, from Belgium by 2.3 times, from Germany by 5.8 times, and from Great Britain by 9.3 times. Also in the top 10 foreign investors were South Korea, France and Switzerland.
