Nestlé Joins "Hecho en México" to Strengthen National Economy
Nestlé México has announced its participation in the "Hecho en México" program, a federal government initiative led by the Secretariat of Economics aimed at strengthening productive chains and promoting the consumption of national products. The company, which has been operating in Mexico for 95 years and is known for brands like Nescafé, Carlos V, and Chocolate Abuelita, will include more than 200 products in this initiative. The objective is to support local economic development and community welfare.

"With 95 years of presence in Mexico, Nestlé has built an ecosystem of shared value creation that begins in the fields and reaches millions of Mexican households, promoting regional development and the inclusion of thousands of small and medium producers," the company stated in a press release. Nestlé emphasized that its commitment to Mexico extends beyond production. Through the Plan NESCAFÉ, the company collaborates with more than 20,000 coffee growers in states such as Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Puebla. "This work model has turned Mexican coffee into an internationally renowned product with a positive social impact.

Joining ‘Hecho en México’ reaffirms our commitment to the country and to the communities that are part of our value chain. We believe in Mexico, in its people, and the potential of their talent," stated Fausto Costa, Executive President of Nestlé México. The "Hecho en México" mark is designed to recognize and give visibility to companies investing, producing, and generating employment within Mexico, strengthening internal consumption and the value of products made locally.
