China has nearly tripled its imports of oilcakes and meal from Russia

For comparison: in the same period in 2024, China imported 111,000 tons worth $43 million, indicating a growth of 2.8 times in volume and 2.2 times in value.
The structure of supplies from Russia to China during the reporting period is as follows:
Sunflower seed oilcakes and meal — 153,800 tons
Rapeseed oilcakes and meal — 157,200 tons
Soybean meal and oilcakes — 4,000 tons
The main share of supplies consists of sunflower and rapeseed processing products, highlighting the growing diversification of Russian agri-export nomenclature.
In terms of volume in natural units, Russia ranked third among the largest exporters to China for oilcakes and meal, behind Ukraine (448,000 tons) and Canada, which led the ranking with 730,000 tons.
