By 2032, global per capita consumption of dairy products will increase to 15 kg in terms of dry matter content. This was reported by Dr. Lee Ann Jackson, Head of the Department of the Agri-food Complex at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), during the Global Dairy Summit held in Chicago from October 15 to 19.
According to Dr. Jackson, the per capita consumption in the world in 2022 amounted to 13 kg in terms of dry matter content. The most significant growth is expected in India and Pakistan, where consumption will increase to 25 and 52 kg per capita, respectively. It's important to note that these countries account for the majority of fresh dairy product consumption.

The primary consumers of processed dairy products are the United States and European Union countries. The main increase in cheese consumption by 2032 will be in the United States, rising from the current 16.5 to 20 kg per capita. European and Central Asian countries will increase their consumption to 14 kg per capita.
