Dale Farm Reports Record Financial Results for 2025

Dairy cooperative, Dale Farm, proudly announced their financial results for the year ending March 2025, showcasing significant growth. The cooperative's turnover rose from £631.4m to £722.4m and net profit before tax increased to £31.9m, up from the previous year's £29.8m. EBITDA also saw an uptick, reaching £45.6m from last year's £44.9m. Additionally, the operating profit showed a slight increase to £37.7m compared to £37.5m in the prior year.

Group CEO Nick Whelan attributed this fourth consecutive year of record results to outstanding teamwork within the organization. Emphasizing the cooperative's commitment, he stated, "Our focus, our drive and our decisions are about ensuring the profitability and sustainability of our farmers’ businesses. We are in the investment phase of our strategy cycle with a focus on production, automation and digitalisation." Whelan highlighted their £70m investment in the cheddar cheese processing facility at Dunmanbridge, Co Tyrone, which has been completed and is operational, further promising ongoing investments to meet customer needs and ensure competitive pricing for their 1,300 milk suppliers.

Dale Farm Chairman Fred Allen noted the challenge of farm level input inflation, which was mitigated by higher market returns, allowing them to maintain an average milk price of 43.67 pence per litre in 2024/25. He expressed optimism about continuing consistent business performance by leveraging the expertise of their farmers and staff.
