The National Statistics Bureau of Kazakhstan is holding a meeting with US specialists to prepare for the agricultural census

From August 5 to 7, the Bureau of National Statistics is hosting an international meeting dedicated to preparations for the upcoming agricultural census. The event is organized with the active support of the National Agricultural Statistics Service of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-NASS), Dairynews.today reports with reference to data from the Kazakh department.
The meeting is attended by representatives from the United States, including employees of the Office of International Programs of the National Agricultural Statistics Service of the United States Department of Agriculture Wagner William DeVito and Gottschall Christopher, the head of the USDA Office in Central Asia Lucas Blaustein, as well as representatives of the US Embassy in Astana.
The main goal of the meeting is to discuss the experience and best practices accumulated during the last agricultural census in the United States, as well as the stages of preparation for the agricultural census in Kazakhstan. Participants discuss issues of improving data quality and control, as well as lessons learned.
“At the meeting, we gain valuable knowledge and experience accumulated during the agricultural census in the United States. This will help us significantly improve the quality and completeness of agricultural data, which is key to effective planning and development of the agricultural sector in our country,” commented the head of the Bureau of National Statistics Maksat Turlubayev.
The three-day discussion will cover data editing and analysis systems, census process control and planning for subsequent stages of preparation.
