As disclosed by Lyudmila Manitskaya, Director of the Russian Dairy Union, during the plenary session of the Belarus’ Dairy Industry international forum, Belarusian dairy products constitute a substantial 94% of the dairy imports to Russia. This ongoing collaboration reflects Belarus' significant influence and capacity in fulfilling Russia's dairy demands.

Moreover, Manitskaya highlighted, "In terms of dairy whey, permeate, cottage cheese, and curd products, 100% of imports come from the Republic of Belarus." Supplies also include contributions from Kazakhstan at 1.8%, Azerbaijan 1.2%, Argentina 1%, with Uruguay, Serbia, and Iran each contributing less than 1%.

The statement underscored Belarus' robust and reliable presence in the dairy sector, emphasizing the importance of price competition rooted in quality and technological standards. Manitskaya expressed optimism about the continuing development of joint projects between Russia and Belarus, highlighting the prospect of building beneficial supply chains amid escalating production costs.

Additionally, she noted the increasing market competition and demand for functional dairy products, lactose-free and plant-based alternatives, local brands, and sustainability as key trends driving the industry forward.
