Belarus to Launch 21 Dairy Complexes by End of 2025

Construction and renovation of dairy complexes are underway across all regions of the republic. The largest facilities will open in Malaryta, Brest, Ivanava, Ivatsevichy, and Zhabinka districts.

Next week, the launch of a dairy complex in the 'Khotislavsky' farm in the Malaryta district is scheduled, designed for 1,200 cows.

In the 'Rakitnitsa' agricultural enterprise in the Zhabinka district, the installation of equipment for cow barns and the milk processing unit of the new complex for 1,000 cows is nearing completion. In addition to the main facilities, the project includes the construction of silage and haylage trenches, as well as a modern engineering unit.

The completion of the facility is planned for the end of 2025. It will become one of the largest in the district, boosting milk production and quality while providing modern working conditions for livestock workers.

Anatoly Shchuplenkov, Chairman of the Agriculture and Food Committee of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, noted that all planned facilities will be completed on schedule:

'The modernization of the industry in the Brest region is yielding results. Over 10 months, the region's enterprises increased milk production by 7.3% compared to the same period last year, exceeding 2.079 million tons.'

Growth has been recorded in all districts, with the highest in Gantsevichi (+15.5%), Lyakhovichi (+13.8%), and Pinsk (+12.3%). In the Ivanava district, the leader in dairy herd productivity, production grew by 10%.

The average milk yield per cow over 10 months was 6,878 kg, which is 414 kg more than in 2024. The milk commercialization rate reached 92.4%, one of the best in the country.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Belarus already achieves self-sufficiency in milk at 292%, with a quarter of all produced products being exported.
