Atalanta Corporation has unveiled its new cheese line, "Cracking Good," which brings a touch of British pub culture to the US market. The line features three premium cheeses: Mature Irish Cheddar, Extra Mature Scottish Cheddar, and Vintage English Cheddar, all sourced from the British Isles and crafted from grass-fed milk.
Katie Baldwin, Atalanta’s Senior Brand Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the launch: "Cracking Good fills a significant niche in US cheese cases. Most UK and Irish cheeses available stateside are from smaller brands focused on a single product or origin. Our new line celebrates authentic cheeses from the archipelago while embracing the fun and unique cultural aspects of the region."
The Cracking Good lineup starts with Mature Irish Cheddar, aged for nine months, offering a subtle sweetness and creamy texture, sourced from cows grazing along the South-East Irish coast. The Extra Mature Scottish Cheddar, aged for twelve months, boasts a crumbly texture and a rich, nutty flavor profile, produced in the lush grasslands of Scotland’s southwest coast. Completing the trio, the Vintage English Cheddar features caramel undertones and distinctive crunchy crystals, aged for fourteen months in Shropshire with milk from local West Midlands free-range cows.
Scheduled to hit shelves at Publix and Acquistapace Supermarkets this July, each 6-ounce chunk of Cracking Good cheese will retail for $5.99. This new line not only offers a taste of the UK's rich cheese-making heritage but also embodies the spirited ambiance of its iconic pub culture.
