Hosted by Dr. Phil Cardoso, U of I associate professor of Animal Sciences, Dr. Derek Nolan, U of I assistant professor of Animal Sciences, and IMPA Manager Tasha Bunting, the event will delve into innovative strategies to counter the projected increase in production expenses and the decline in farm income. The summit provides a platform for dairy farmers to engage with university experts and researchers, fostering discussions on current challenges and opportunities in the dairy sector.

IMPA, representing the four largest dairy cooperatives in Illinois, independent dairy producers, allied industry professionals, and university partners, has been serving the state's dairy industry since 1933. The association plays a pivotal role, representing over three-fourths of the milk marketed in Illinois.

While attendance at the summit is free, pre-registration is encouraged. Interested participants can access the full agenda and register at illinoismilk.org.

This annual gathering serves as a valuable forum for industry stakeholders to exchange insights and explore innovative approaches that can contribute to the growth and sustainability of the Illinois dairy sector.
