Young Farmers Explore Homeopathic Practices at Devon Farm
A group of young farmers from Clawton YFC recently toured Winscott Farm in Devon, exploring cutting-edge homeopathic practices. The visit, aimed at understanding Proactive Prevention, was led by Whole Health Agriculture's Pammy Riggs. This innovative method has been trialled on the farm's dairy herd, managed by Andrew Bevan, for three years.
The prevention scheme integrates into the herd's drinking water, aiming to alleviate livestock stress. During the summer of 2022, a blend of remedies was used to combat heat stress, resulting in unaffected milk production and improved fertility rates.
Clawton YFC expressed gratitude for the insightful experience, noting the importance of such opportunities in expanding agricultural knowledge. The farm visit provided young farmers a tangible glimpse into advanced farming techniques and their ecological benefits.
