First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by visiting the grant application page: Grant Applications.
The application window is open until September 30, 2024. The PCC-DBII plans to distribute 6-10 awards, with each award amounting to up to $250,000. Applicants must propose eligible projects that aim to modernize, specialize, expand, investigate, or market the use of regionally produced milk into higher-value products. Eligible projects include initiatives that enhance the value chain, foster commodity innovation, or update facility processes. These projects should elevate or add to dairy product development, packaging, and marketing.
Winners should be prepared to begin utilizing their grants by December 2, 2024. Detailed information on eligible expenditures can be found in the USDA AMS - Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives Program-Specific Terms and Conditions.
To assist applicants, the PCC-DBII will host two “Office Hours” Zoom sessions, scheduled from 4 PM to 5 PM on August 29th and September 19th.
