According to NTech research, young cheeses such as mozzarella, feta, feta, burrata and stracciatella demonstrated the most dynamic growth among all cheese categories on the Russian market in the first half of 2024.

Sales of these cheeses increased by 15% in monetary terms and by 9% in physical terms year-on-year.

At the same time, overall cheese sales in Russia for the period from January to June 2024 showed a decrease of 2% in monetary terms, despite an increase in physical terms of 5%.

Semi-hard cheeses, such as Edam, Maasdam, Gouda and Russian, decreased their sales in monetary terms by 6%, increasing volumes by 2%.

Hard cheeses, on the contrary, showed growth both in monetary (by 6%) and in physical (by 11%) terms.
