The country exported 10,100 tons of cheese during this period, generating $43.7 million in revenue, a 34% year-on-year increase. Key markets included Moldova (33.1%), Kazakhstan (30.2%), and Germany (9.3%).

Meanwhile, cheese imports to Ukraine also rose, albeit more modestly, up 6.6% to 28,900 tons valued at $171.1 million. The largest suppliers were Poland (39.6%), Germany (20.1%), and the Netherlands (9%).

Domestic Expansion
In addition to its growing export market, Ukraine's dairy industry is expanding domestically. Moloko Vitchyzny, a leading dairy producer, is constructing a state-of-the-art farm in the Rivne region. The facility, set to house 3,000 cows, will produce 39,000 tons of milk annually. Scheduled to open in 2025, the farm is expected to generate 85 jobs and provide a significant boost to local economic development, including increased tax revenues.

The dual focus on expanding exports and modernizing domestic production highlights Ukraine’s strategic efforts to strengthen its position in the global dairy market while fostering regional growth.
