Cheese and Ice Cream Among Top 3 Russian Products by Average Annual Consumption Growth from 2022 to 2024

In 2024, dairy consumption in Russia grew by 3%, while inventories at production facilities decreased by 10% by the end of the year. Dairy-based product consumption is expected to increase annually by 1.5% through 2030, according to Artem Belov, CEO of Soyuzmoloko, who shared these insights at the Second Dairy Industry Leaders Forum.
Cheese and Ice Cream Lead Growth in Consumption
"Cheese products have tremendous growth potential, and this category will continue to expand rapidly," said Belov.
Cheese and ice cream rank among the top 3 products by average annual consumption growth, with rates of 11% and 12%, respectively, from 2022 to 2024. Both categories underpin successful franchises across foodservice and retail sectors.
