Ashgrove Eco-Milk is an option for consumers seeking environmentally friendly dairy products without compromising taste and quality. Ashgrove eco-milk is now available to consumers through Woolworths, Coles and IGA supermarkets across Tasmania.

"This collaboration demonstrates the potential of our Seafeed feed product to reduce methane emissions. We are committed to working with partners like Ashgrove to expand this technology and empower consumers around the world to make environmentally safe choices while enjoying delicious and nutritious milk," says Sam Elsom, CEO of Sea Forest.

Ashgrove Eco-Milk's emission reduction technology is based on the collaboration of Ashgrove and Sea Forest, originally from Tasmania. Sea Forest, an industry player in the cultivation of Asparagopsis algae, has developed Seafeed, a feed additive capable of reducing methane emissions from livestock by up to 90%. This innovation allows Ashgrove to reduce methane emissions into its dairy herd, ensuring the production of whole milk that retains its traditional taste and quality.

The integration of Seafeed into livestock diets has been used in commercial practice on farms and feedlots for three years, as evidenced by a solid foundation of more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific studies.

In addition to the dairy industry, Sea Forest cooperates with companies such as Grill'd, creating an environmentally friendly grass-fed beef burger, as well as with Fonterra, Asahi and MJ Bale, aiming to reduce methane emissions in various product lines and industries.
