Production of Skimmed Milk Powder in Russia Increased by 12.4%

From January to August 2025, the production of skimmed milk powder in Russia grew by 12.4%, reaching 90.3 thousand tons. Meanwhile, consumption of the product decreased by 2.8%, to 87.6 thousand tons.
The growth in the skimmed milk powder segment was the most notable among dairy powder categories. Production of whole milk powder during the same period increased by 8.9% to 61.6 thousand tons, although its consumption decreased by 1.6% to 63 thousand tons.
At the same time, the dry whey category is experiencing a decline: production decreased by 3.4% to 151.6 thousand tons, and consumption dropped by 8.1% to 128.6 thousand tons.
By the beginning of September 2025, an increase in warehouse stocks at processing enterprises was recorded:

whole milk powder — +16% (to 8.1 thousand tons),

skimmed milk powder — +54% (to 20.5 thousand tons),

dry whey — +4% (to 13.8 thousand tons).
