Dairy Association of Kyrgyzstan calls for support of the resolution on separating shelves with dairy products

The executive director of the Dairy Association of Kyrgyzstan, Syimyk Taychabarov, reported that the organization was the initiator of the resolution “On the separation of display cases (shelves) for dairy products and products containing milk.” On August 2, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan published a draft of this resolution.
Under the proposal, retail outlets would be required to separate shelves into two categories:
The association also emphasized that milk fat substitutes often contain trans fats, which can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, increase bad cholesterol levels and decrease good cholesterol levels.
The Dairy Association of Kyrgyzstan called on consumers to support the decree on separating shelves to ensure safer and higher-quality products on the market.
It was also reported with reference to the association that on August 6, 2024, the Sputnik and Kabar news agencies held press conferences on the topic "The Future of the Agro-Industrial Complex: How will the New Presidential Decree Change Agriculture?".
The events were attended by key representatives of the agro-industrial sector of Kyrgyzstan:
- Chairman of the Association for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlist Akunbekov,
- President of the Association of Flour Mills of Kyrgyzstan Rustam Zhunushov,
- Executive Director of the Dairy Association of Kyrgyzstan Syimyk Taychabarov,
- Director of the Poultry Association of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kerimkulova,
- Chairman of the Chicken Egg Cluster Nurgul Malabaeva,
- Chairman of the Berry Growers Association of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Toktogaziev.
During the press conferences, the speakers covered in detail the main provisions of the new presidential decree "On measures for the further development of the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic" aimed at supporting and stimulating farmers.
Each of the association leaders shared relevant information and the latest trends in their sectors, which play a key role in ensuring the country's food security.
"We believe that this decree will serve as an important initiative for the joint work of the state and the dairy sector of Kyrgyzstan," the organization reported on its social networks.
- Dairy products: products made from milk and containing it as the main ingredient, including milk, yogurt, cheese, kefir and cottage cheese.
- Milk-containing products: products that contain milk or its derivatives, such as milk fat substitutes, chocolate bars with milk filling, confectionery products containing milk and dairy components.
